Ø Infosys Technologies Software Test Engineer July 2007 – Jan 2010.
Worked as Test Engineer with Infosys technologies since July 2007 and was involved in several projects whose clients were based from retail industry.
Responsibilities:
· Requirement traceability matrix creation to validate the testing coverage of the requirements.
· Test plan, test case design and development – Reviewing team member’s test cases and uploading the same in QC.
· Writing database queries for the test cases based on the database schema provided (Database queries in SQL, and DB2).
· Test data creation- uploading data in the tables provided in the database schema to test the requirements accordingly.
· Execution of test cases in Quality center which included consistency check between the front end and backend of the application. Volume testing to check the credibility of the application under heavy load condition.
· Defect logging and tracking it to closure which includes defects from ad hoc testing.
Additional Responsibilities taken:
· Was the KM (knowledge management) prime for the project.
Ø Conducted monthly meetings to provide knowledge on retail domain on those areas relevant to the project.
Ø Organized weekly quizzes to enhance the team’s knowledge on retail domain.

Ø Prepared the defect report for the sub projects based on the defects from the test case reviews and invalid defects logged.
Ø Conducted monthly meetings to discuss the DIR (defect injection rate) and hence to reduce the occurrences of invalid defects.
