The following headings can be uses as a template for creating a test case.
Test Case ID
Unique identification number assigned to the case in order to distinguish it from other test cases that may be similar
Test Case Name
Name of the software module or function that is being tested
Test Case Description
Description of the test function that is being tested
Resources
Details the resources required to perform testing
Environmental
Explains location and conditions of testing
Test Execution
Detailed description of every step to be executed
Expected Results
Description of the results that are expected with each test step
Actual Results
Report of what actually happens during the test
Test Status
Determination of the pass or fail status of the test
